NRCJTA Pre-Employment Recruitment Meetings Announced

The New River Criminal Justice Training Academy will hold a series of three information and orientation meetings for the upcoming Summer 2019 Pre-Employment Training Programs for Entry Level Law Enforcement, Entry Level Jail, and Entry Level Dispatcher. Anyone interested in attending any one of the three programs is asked to register by call (540) 674-5846 ext 100 and register with Mrs. Lisa Sullivan Monday through Thursday from 08:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The sessions will be held on the following dates and times:

Session 2: May 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the academy.

Session 3: May 15, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the academy.

You must preregister to obtain an application packet. You don't have to bring anything for any of these meetings. You should be prepared to spend about 2-3 hours with us these dates. If you are unable to attend any of the above meetings, please call and we can arrange for your own personal meeting.

The New River Criminal Justice Training Academy is one of the Commonwealth of Virginia’s eleven regional academies providing a wide variety of criminal justice programs for local law enforcement officers, jail officers, and communications personnel for its member agencies located in the New River Valley. Established in 1975, the NRCJTA mission is to provide "professionalism through training" to the officers and staffs of its member organizations by providing training opportunities based upon mandated skills requirements and specific identified member agency training needs. The primary objective of the Academy is to assist the professional growth and development of Law Enforcement, Jail, and Dispatcher personnel employed by local jurisdictions in its service area. For over 42 years, the New River Criminal Justice Training Academy has been committed to providing the highest achievable quality of program instruction to its member agencies.
